This explains how I got started in comedy.

Check out the new pictures from my Hickory Homecoming day. Thats right, I now have my own day, February 21st is officially Jon Reep day in Hickory, NC. The mayor also gave me a key to the city and named a street after me.

Heres what went down that day. First, I did morning radio for WHKY, then a podcast for The Hickory Daily Record, next a press conference at Lenoir Rhyne College with my very own interpreter for the deaf, then I did a show for the chamber of commerce, plus a show for the citizens of Hickory.

It was crazy. I did a show for about 3000 people because thats all the Hickory Metro Center could hold. My high-school marching band was there along with the choir. At one point my wife and I got mobbed by the paparazzi. Go to my myspace page to check them out.

As most of you know I grew up in Hickory, NC, but now because of my job I live in Lost Angeles, and its killing me living in the city because I dont eat sushi and I prefer a non silicone boob. So I went online and started my own small town, SmallTownNation.com. Its an online community of small towners, like MySpace for rednecks. People join up and trade pictures, video and stories about goin to the river, or cruisin, or trailer park parties they have, or any of the crazy stuff you do to entertain yourself in a small town. Ive also got professional comedians from small towns who have their own pages here. Its fun as hell. So join the nation, and get you some Townitude.

Rodney returns home after his first standup comedy tour to find that a lot has changed. And Gerald Bob is the first one to greet him...with a speeding ticket. His wife's got new friends who are hanging around the house much more than he'd like, his boys have gotten taller and started liking girls and, somehow, he's acquired a new fountain in the backyard.

"The Sleepover"
Rodney and Trina mistakenly get Jack and his friend drunk at a sleepover. Meanwhile, Charlie falls for a very unlikely candidate.

So I'm sure by now a lot of you have seen my incredibly semi-handsome redneck face splashed in full color on the back page of every newspaper in the country as Dodge begins the search for the new Hemi Guy! I am living the dream, people, and the dream is me, you, and bikini-clad supermodels paid to act like they love us!

I spent last week in the desert filming the commercial that kicks off the campaign, and let me tell you, stunt guys are very attractive men that can be made up to look really retarded. After watching my stunt-double jump out of a Duster at sixty miles per hour, land on a truck bed and celebrate as his glued-on mullet flapped in the breeze, I realized that my job – acting stupid – is the easy part of Hollywood! I ended up doing so many takes of screaming at a trucker that I lost my voice and had to cancel three sold-out standup shows in Houston, but when you see the new commercial I think you'll agree that it was worth permanently damaging my vocal chords for your entertainment.

And then, check this out, I found out I might be in the new Will Ferrell movie about NASCAR! How double-damned cool will that be, me and Will the Thrill going toe to toe with the greatest sport and excuse to drink on a Sunday that God ever created. That movie is going to huge, and it's being filmed in North Carolina, so maybe I can get Will to come back with me to a pig pickin' in Hickory. Or maybe I can ask him if he wants to come and his bodyguards can carry me out back and beat me like a dirty rug. Either way, I'm into it.

Last, I'll be in Dallas this Friday night opening up for Terri Clark at the Smirnoff Music Center, then back to LA for more Rodney. Check out next week as Gerald Bob makes his first appearance of the season, and if I had to guess, I'll bet he says something idiotic.

Whoo, go Panthers, we kicked the cheese out of Green Bay, we're Super Bowl bound, baby!

"We Day"
While the boys are away camping with their Grampa Carl, Trina looks forward to spending an entire day with Rodney, and even christens it "We Day." They go to a garage sale, buying each other under-a-dollar gifts, including a mannequin named Ruthie. But in the middle of their fun day, Rodney decides he wants to keep a golf date with Barry, causing Trina to question -- with some encouragement from Charley -- why she and her husband can't be together for just one whole day.

After the family's TV is stolen in a robbery, Trina refuses to let Rodney use their health insurance money to buy a new one. Bo doesn't want to have his friends over without a TV, so Rodney & Gerald Bob come up with a creative but somewhat risky solution to get the cash for a new set.

I have 4 different scenes and 4 different costumes in this one!
