I graduated from North Carolina State University 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater, Mass Communication, and Public & Personal communication. A year later I hit the road as a full-time traveling comic, and that was the end of my life as a normal human being. In 2000, I moved to Los Angeles to try my hand at an acting career.
As an actor I've played the pot smoking farmer "Raymus" from the movie Harold and Kumar escape from Guantanamo Bay, and the dim witted cop "Gerald Bob" from the ABC Sitcom Rodney. But you probably know me from Dodge Truck's popular ad campaign as the "Hemi guy". I'm known to millions as the redheaded hillbilly in the Dodge Ram commercials who leans out of a beat-up car and utters the now famous line: "That thing gotta Hemi?
But before all that I was already one of the hardest working comics in America, selling out clubs and getting standing ovations at college after college across the country. As a comedian you may have seen me on season 5 of "Last Comic Standing" on NBC. I was the winner that year, thank you very much. Maybe you've seen me on Comedy Central's "Premium Blend" or the half-hour special "Comedy Central Presents: Jon Reep". Possibly, you've seen me on TBS's "Pit Stop Comedy", NBC's "Late Friday" or CMT's "Comedy Club" & "Comedy stage."
I have performed at the Montreal "Just for Laughs" Festival in 1999 & 2004. I've also performed in the Las Vegas Comedy Festival in 2005 and the Bonaroo Music & Arts Festival 2006. Most recently I headlined a club during the Vancouver Comedy Festival in 2009. My show is supersonic energy filled with non-stop characters and super clever writing. I'm on road all the time, so check out my tour schedule to see if I'm at a venue near you.

Hey Jon...I first heard you on my XM radio while driving some long interstate in some wide state, they all run together after awhile. Point is I had to pull my rig over cause I was laughing so hard I was crying and almost peed my pants. Anyway...my Mom was born and raised in Hickory and in tracing my family I found Reeps all over. Seems like the Saine's, Wise's and Reeps were all neighbors back in the early days before Hickory was Hickory. I'll be checking your schedule to try to catch your show live someday in the near future and I'll be sure to buy some of those "depends", I for sure don't want to pee my pants.
Love it man... all of it. I live in a small three redlight town in ol kentuck, people always ask me where olive hill is near and all I can think of, it's near a cannon lol yep we have all the same things that ya'll have, rat killins, grits and gravey, gossip, and ya a few of us here are to good for cords lol have a great day my friend.
bicycle!
OMG...grew up in a rural town of 5,000 in Louisiana so I can relate to everything you talk about....way too funny. When I moved to Nashville, everyone laughed when I'd say "Let's go to the Sonic". Honestly, it had never crossed my mind until they brought it up. Anyway, the wife and I will be at Zanies this Friday to see ya. Bringing 2 other couples with us too. We guaranteed they would laugh harder than they've laughed in a long while!! Can't wait!
Saw you on Comedy Central. I would have sworn you were from Texas. In fact, I think I know your daddy! Laughed and Laughed. Sure enjoyed it. Must have to look it up on the net. Thanks for the giggles. Laura
Hey Jon! Me and my family love watching your videoas, and they never get old! It's the one thing we can actually agree on. Like you I am the comedian of the family. I love to laugh, and love making people laugh. Your a big inspiration for me, and I just wanted to thank you for being hilarious and not forgetting where you came from!

Hi Jon,
I thought i'd send you this pic of a giant rat that rode up into our yard on a Harley. After drinking several gallons of water (and eating a pound of raw hamburger meat) he headed on his way screaming " See ya at the fair!"
Just saw you in Knoxville. The show was great! Jon is hilarious! Great stuff and keep it up! :)
