Anyone who was on Jon Reep's old website nicknamed STN already know me as Festus. Feel free to add me as a friend. In fact, even if you don't know me feel free to add me.
My small town has a population of right about 300. It's 20 miles to anywhere and that is just to the county seat.
My home county has a few things to boast about. We have The Tennessee River, Pickwick Dam where on the lake they play host to professional boat racing. We have Shiloh National Military Park. The Battle of Shiloh was the 2nd bloodiest battle in The CIvil War. Country Music star Darryl Worley was born and raised here and still does all he can to help promote the county. A lesser known Bluegrass star Wayne Jerrolds who has been with The Grand Ole Opry for about 50 years and a professional studio musician.
I am married to my second wife 10 years now. Between the two of us we have 5 children and 2 grandsons.
I spent 9 years, 5 months in the US Army. I have seen 19 different states and 4 countries. Not all of that was Army. I did travel a lot as a kid, but 3 countries were during the Army.
I am a sheet metal worker and work out on the road now. Unfortunatly work came to a halt after the stock market crash. I may have to resort to finding a poor paying job close to the house to get by if this lasts much longer.
That's about it. EAT, DRINK, AND BE MERRY!
IF IT DON'T KILL YA IT'LL ONLY MAKE YA STRONGER!
